"Bad news ladies, my house can't be used for the countdown... My family will be going to my aunt's place for the count down... This one cannot escape cause this is the first and last time my whole family will be attending a family gathering as a whole... There was never once everybody from my family who was present together... So this is the first time this year... I'll only be free after the count down that day... You can go ahead without me or plan a Christmas thing on another day..." -Sam
SO HOW??
P/s: What are we doing for Christmas?

Pek Chai Says
Here's it, from my birthday on, we stop all this gift exchange shit. I'm not expecting any presents for my birthday. I don't want any presents. And if choosing a cake or paying for a cake is difficult, don't even get me a cake. I don't want anything. The joy of celebration comes when you are having a good time with the people you love. At least that definition works for me. Till the day i die, i don't want anymore presents from you guys. You can do whatever you want when i die. Give me some flowers or hire a couple of extra monks for prayers.
If you all insist on the gift exchange, i don't mind. But i don't want anything for my birthday. You want to get presents for others, go ahead. Give my birthday a skip so that's one less burden for everyone. The best present i can get is the presence of everyone. I won't ask for more and i'll not make things hard for everyone.
If the proposal is accepted and you still want to get your friend a present, by all means go ahead. This way, the present is really coming from your heart. It's your own will and you have no rights to complain.
Well, think about it. I'm just pretty annoyed and i feel stupid keeping all this unnecessary displeasure among everyone.
Let go of what makes you unhappy. Being anything but happy is a massive waste of time.
